Our old home had such a wonderful screened porch. It was 14' x 21', and we used it for 8 months out of the year. It is definitely the aspect about our old home that we miss the most.
With our latest plan, I am happy to say that we have successfully incorporated an incredible screened porch. It was a bit tricky, because we did not want it to obstruct any view from the inside. It also needed to be positioned in a location where it felt "included" in the other outdoor entertaining areas, or the fear was that it would not be used.
