Butler's Pantry/Wine and Beverage Center

The Butler's Pantry we have designed will be a combination serving area and beverage/wine center. Because it will be partially visible from the Dining Room, I would like to create a focal point in that area, possibly with stone, rustic wood and iron.

My thought was to make this area seem a little bit like a wine cellar. Photos below are some ideas. A large stone arch with an inset iron decorative grill over a smoky antique mirror. That might be too much, but it would give that tavern effect that I am thinking about for this spot. The mirror component might also help with the light, because I think this spot will have a tendency to feel like a dark area in the house. Lighting the focal point correctly will be a priority too.

My thoughts are to keep the serving buffet area in the opening with the sink and utility area hidden to the side closer to the kitchen.
  • Wine storage should be up high.
  • Maybe hanging glasses would be visible.
  • Locked cabinet for other alcohol.
  • Probably ice maker, wine fridge, etc....
