This is the final jack arch design. I made the cardboard templates this morning (7-9-2008) using a combination of Bob's latest arch upside down, and the segmented window curve as a guide to keep the curve proportianlte to the rest of the structure. It is also a little bit thinner than the previous attempts, so that it does not look so heavy.
Jack Arch design-Pictures below. I want them to be like the first photo. The second photo shows how they make the space almost look like a segmented arch from far away, if they are proportioned properly. That's the look I want.
This photo shows more detail. I like the extra edge detail and also the center beam decoration, similar to how I drew my original concept of the playhouse. This peak design is also how I would do the pool house when we replace the current wood and roof.
